Theory Programs
The crane training school features a strong grounding in theory related to regulations, inspection, power-line safety and site hazards involved in crane operation. Individuals training would acquire understanding about rigging, hardware applications and load charts. Direct feedback and quizzes during the course will assist people training solidify their knowledge.
The theory topics include: Introduction to crane certification process; safety fundamentals for crane operators; rigging knowledge; crane operation knowledge; crane rigging charts; communications knowledge; load chart knowledge; crane set-up & pre-trip inspections, and crane service and maintenance.
Practical Programs
The practical training portion of the crane training school emphasizes hands-on learning. This part of the course focuses on the identification and terminology of crane components. Trainees would have the opportunity to practice skills needed for crane signaling, rigging and operating.
The topics included in the practical section consists of: Identify crane functions and components; Learn crane terms; use remote control; identify rigging and wire ropes; pre-use check on crane; identify documents and regulations for wire rope and rigging; carry out rigging methods; use hand signals and radio; and carry out right lifting and lowering of loads.
