
Crane Operator Classes Kamloops - For the supervisors and the operators, new and current, the crane operator training course is suitable for all. Course content includes applicable federal, provincial and state safety regulations. The training's first part comprises comprehensive in-class lessons and exam. After that is a customized hands-on session together with practical lessons and assessment.
The content of the course applies to all types and categories of overhead lifting crane machines. The instruction will particularly focus on all aspects of crane operation which can be performed at the trainee's workplace. Upon finishing the course, individuals training would know how to operate specific overhead lifting equipment, attachments and related components efficiently and safely.
The operator course's goal is to first identify and potentially dangerous operator habits that can develop while an individual operates an overhead crane. Costly damage to products and equipment could be avoided with correct practices. Training lessens the likelihood of a workplace injury or incident taking place.
The course would encompass approximately eight hours of classroom instruction with a couple of hours of hands-on customized, on-site training. Participants will be graded on their understanding of training material through written tests and an evaluation of their practical knowledge. The minimum acceptable score is 80%.
In the in-class session, participants will be taught applicable causes of occurrences and damages, legislation and guidelines, hazard awareness, internal responsibility, capacity ratings/load weight calculations, basic equipment and design principles, safe hosting/operating methods, pre-shift equipment inspections, kinds of hardware, equipment applications/rigging, pedestrian/operator safety, hitches and angles, hand signals for operators and slingers, turning/flipping loads safely.
The practical training and evaluation portion of the course should be pre-scheduled. This customized part of the training will be held at the trainees' facility. The duration of this practical training part is an hour or two. Two operators at a time will be trained by the instructor on skills such as safe operation, planning the lift and correct rigging practices.
After finishing both the practical training and evaluation and the in-class instruction, the trainee will be tested via an exam. Each and every participant will be required to sign the safety rules. Successful trainees will be provided with individual wallet certificates. A framed wall certificate will be provided to the company.
